5QF - Do I Hafta Cry?

Hey now it's Friday again.  One more day of work then it is on!  Bitty's birthday party is tomorrow so I've got a ton of treat making to do.  I'm also taking a bit to take the kids to the pumpkin patch with a mom I met at B's school.  And geez you know how hard it is to make friends as an adult so I hope we "hit it off".  I know, I'm a geek.  It's why I have no friends!

Okay, 5QF!  Link up over at My Little Life and you go have a great weekend!

1. If you could be a fly on any wall, which would you choose?

Well I know I wouldn't want to be a fly on my wall!  I'm a mad woman when it comes to flies in our house.  They must die an ugly death.  Now, I could pick something very serious and intellectual but um no.  I'd want to be a fly on the wall in the Carolina Herrera design house.  I'm no fashion goddess but I know good design, I appreciate a well cut piece and I love the classic gorgeous pieces from her designers.  I just want a sneak peek at what they are working on and what decisions get tabled and which become phenomenal.

2. Do you budget your Christmas shopping or just get it done without budgeting?
We have an umbrella budget then break it down by our kids, other kids and parents.  We don't get siblings anything because between us we have 14.  That would really blow the budget.  In the last couple years we have just budgeted our stockings and then we buy a gift we'd both enjoy.

3. What is the craziest fad diet you have ever done?
I haven't gone crazy because I have no willpower.  I did stick to the soup diet for 6 months.  I ate a can of soup and a wheat roll with a pad of butter every day for lunch.  There were some other common sense things but this one really helped because I worked in an office so going out to lunch was a no-no.  It helped the budget and I lost about 15 pounds because it limited the calorie intake.

4. Is there a TV show that you have seen every episode/season of?
I've seen every episode of Friends.  Many times.  And I would have said Grey's but when it got all weird last year I gave up on it.  Same with Brothers and Sisters.  If I really think back I'm sure I've seen every episode of Wonder Years and the Monkeys too.  Don't judge.  Davey Jones is the grooviest.

5. What one song always pulls at your heart?
100 Years by Five for Fighting was playing when Nip proposed so it always catches my attention when I hear it.  And Letters from Home played quite a bit when I was pregnant with B.  I cried every single time I heard it.  And eventually he started kicking every time he heard it.  It's a sad song but compounded with mommy hormones.  I even had to turn it off if it came across my radio at work!  And might I just add The River is Wide (James Taylor's version).  It was sung at our wedding ceremony (with happier lyrics) and played on the acoustic guitar at our reception.  I melt.

  3. Hi Korinne-Hopped over from Mama M's My Little Life. Can't wait to take a look around. I love Davey Jones, too. My BFF was more of a Micky gal, though. I'm going to have to listen to this "100 Years" b/c someone else listed that as their heartstring tugger, too. You have a beautiful family (nice blog background, too).
