A Party Preview

I've been very busy lately planning Bitty's 1st Birthday Party.  I realize I'm putting far too much time and effort into this little party which will probably only have a handful of people.  When I first told you about it here I thought I was just excited to throw a girlie party but now I can admit that if I stop cutting or pasting or hanging or shopping I'm going to have a meltdown.  I just hope she enjoys it, I hope the guests enjoy it and I'll cherish the photos forever.  Speaking of photos, please forgive these photos as I still haven't figured out my camera.  I really need to take a class on that!

I made this with scalloped scissors, scrapbook paper and patience.  It hangs over her high chair and she just loves it.
More little birdies fluttering about.  Looks kind of cheap but once all the decorations are out I'm hoping it just comes together.
Birds in the dining room.  B channeling Hitchcock.
What's a party without swirly ribbon?
This was a mess to put together.  It will go in the look-through from living room and eat-in.
A closer look.
The easiest thing to make, paper napkin rings.
More scrapbook paper and templates.  And I learned I also need to take a class on using scissors.  Her name is blocked off the picture because I'm a weirdo and you can't steal my baby!
A closer look.
I'm hanging chartreuse ribbon around our trees, big scrapbook paper birds and 1's around our front porch overhang thing (I know it has a name but I can't think of it!), ribbon around the chairs, fresh flowers, birds nests, grapevine balls, tissue paper pom poms, bird houses.  And the food will bring it all together.  I found sprinkles that look like birdseed so they will go on the chocolate covered mallows, crispy treats and pretzel rods all set on candy sticks.  I'll do a post party post full of pictures showing how it all came together and hopefully one smiley baby girl!  Until then, I'll be keeping myself busy!
