5QF - Ear and Heart Pains

Yay yay yay!  You know what today is!  Tonight Nip's aunt is staying with us and we are so excited.  When we lived in Louisville we got to see so much of her and we miss her a lot!  Tomorrow we are puppy shopping because word has it Santa is bringing B his first dog.  I'm really excited about this and will most likely blog on it next week.  Our good friends are coming to dinner tomorrow night so basically our weekend will be filled with great company.  And to kick off the weekend, it's Five Question Friday:

1. What Christmas song do you loathe?

Oh easy, the Christmas shoes song.  I am not a violent person but I want to smack that kid.  Mean?  I know.  Not very spirited.  I love pretty much every Christmas song but this one.  Nip hates that hippopotamus song and I happen to have an amazing ability to make my voice sound like that so I really enjoy torturing him.

2. Do you and your significant other cuddle at night or sleep on opposite sides of the bed?
Nip rubs my back every single night.  I'm one lucky girl.  After the snuggle time we go to our opposite sides because we both have crazy sleep positions which, if we were closer would leave us with black eyes in the morning.

3. Have you ever had surgery?
Why yes.  Aside from that full epesiotomy (tmi? How else could I birth a 10 pounder???) I had a pacemaker put in when I was 20 and a new one just a few months ago.  You can read about it here if you want.

4. When do you typically have your holiday shopping done?
Usually I wrap up a week before Christmas.  I'm on a roll this year.  Aside from said puppy, I'm done with B.  I have everything for Nip and only need one more thing for Bitty.  Now I need to focus on the parents and nieces and nephews.  We draw names at Thanksgiving so I have an excuse for not starting this shopping yet.
5. If money were not an issue (and you HAD to pick something), what would your ultimate luxury item be?
I would install a vichy shower off my master bath.  Ever have one after a spa treatment?  It makes me melt.  The 6 shower heads spray at different pressures and flows and switch around while you lay on a table.  It's amazing.  I'd go to the spa just for this if it weren't frowned upon.

Now head on over to My Little Life to join in and link up!

  1. LOL, I have never tried the vichy shower before, but it looks and sounds fab! I had no idea you had a pace maker put in, I am off to go read about that! Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful weekend! It is always so great to spend time with good friends! Hope it turns out to be better then you expect, and good luck finding the perfect puppy!

And what on Earth? Why haven't I seen that shower before? Oh yes, because I've never done a real spa treatment. WOW!
