5QF - Squeaky Clean

It's Friday again.  Funny how it happens like clock-work.  Something we can all rely on.  Maybe that's why I love it so.  Oh wait, you can rely on Monday and Tuesday too.  But it's different.  I rely on them blowing.  Maybe I should be thinking positive.  Anyway, yep, Friday and that means it is Five Question Friday time over at My Little Life.  Hop over, join in.  It's Friday!

1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be?

Oh easy peasy.  I'd be a Rockette.  It's been a dream since I was a wee one.  I wanted to be a a Senator and then when the session ended, a Rockette.  It would have been phenomenal.  Can you imagine the attack adds?  But seriously, who doesn't love a Rockette?  They are magical.

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods?

That's a tough one.  But I'm going with the beach because I love being warm and I love a good view.  In the woods I might not have a good view and there's a better chance some critter is going to attack me.  Or a bear.  I wouldn't want that to happen.  Since I don't like the ocean either, it isn't like a shark is going to get me.  So beach.  That's the answer.

3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?

Eish, B is named after his dad because I had mommy brain and no creativity.  If I had a do-over I'd name him Sam or Luke.  I've always loved those names and it was my uterus darn it!  But he has a name and we can't go changing it now.  Even though he asks us to at least once a week.  We asked B for suggestions on the baby's name.  He said his girlfriend's name so we changed it up a bit, fell in love and kept it.  Her middle name is very unique and I haven't found anyone who doesn't make a weird face (as in perplexed, disgusted or pitty) when we tell them what it is.  It's an American name so newer but sounds a little Irish.  We like it and she's keeping it!

4. What is your guilty pleasure? (I know we've done this one before, but I'm guessing people's "guilty pleasures" change frequently. At least, mine do!)

I love to take a bath in my deep deep garden tub while reading a magazine, not caring if the pages get a little wet because it's the only thing in this house no one else touches and I use the kids' Johnsons and Johnsons Lavender Bedtime Bath.  It's so relaxing.  Don't tell them.

5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened?

I took a dust cloth to every single wooden slat of the blinds on my 22 windows last week.  And cleaned all the ceiling fan blades.  What does that tell you?  I sweep my garage once a week.  I deep clean the refrigerator once a month.  The mattresses are encased in allergy covers.  I really really really really want a Dyson so all my deep down cleanliness dreams can come true.  I'm a freak.  But my house is clean.  (I only clean my oven when I move and vacuum under my bed if I'm getting new carpet.  Those are things I can't stand to do so there, I'm not that much of a freak.  Right?  Right???)

  1. A Rockette -eh? I'd say a beach sounds pretty nice too. Wow- you do some pretty deep cleaning! And now -I'm curious about the kid's names -especially your daughter's middle name- I was trying to come up with a middle name for my daughter and finally decided on Elaine -partly from Seinfeld ;)

  2. Can you come and deep clean my house? I'm still considering training the cat to dust!
