The Post Party - Party Part

I worked so long and hard putting Bitty's party together I was beginning to think I was putting more effort into it than I did my wedding!  The day came and went my baby girl turned 1 and I got through it with only a few tears.  I know I was doing all that to avoid thinking about this being my last baby and how time flies and you know.  You know.  We hadn't received very many rsvp's one way or the other so I assumed we were going to have around 5 people at our house.  We had 22!  My brother surprised me by coming, my nephews were able to make it even though they are teenagers and have football and girlfriends and such, and my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their three boys were a huge surprise, driving over 250 miles to surprise us!  We also had some friends come we didn't expect.  Everyone lives such busy lives so it meant so much to me that they made time to show our baby girl that love.

It's her party.  She can cry if she wants to!

This day wasn't just special for Bitty.  It was my dad's 60th birthday.  He was so kind to share it and begged not to have a big fuss so I had to do one little thing which I'll show you tomorrow.

Bitty really enjoyed her balloons.  Nip was so kind to run out and get them in the morning.  I'm sorry he got stuck in construction traffic.  As did some of our guests.  Party planning fowl on my part.  I'll check the Scout next time and warn people! 



Our friend's baby.  She was so warm and sweet.  Makes me think.  Makes me think it's nice to hold FRIENDS' new babies!  And ignore my bad hair day.  Looks like I was planning to be a scarecrow for Halloween!
